DMCA Policy

Our process for handling copyright infringement claims under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

1What This Policy Covers

FancyNick.com respects the intellectual property rights of others. This policy explains how we handle claims of copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Important: FancyNick generates text using Unicode characters — a universal public standard. Unicode characters themselves are not copyrightable. However, if you believe any other content on our site infringes your copyright, you may file a DMCA takedown notice as described below.

2Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that content on FancyNick.com infringes your copyright, please send a written notice containing the following information:

1

Identification of the Copyrighted Work

A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are involved, provide a representative list.

2

Identification of the Infringing Content

The specific URL(s) or description of where the allegedly infringing content is located on our site, with enough detail for us to find it.

3

Your Contact Information

Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address so we can contact you regarding your complaint.

4

Good Faith Statement

A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

5

Accuracy Statement

A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

6

Your Signature

A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.

4What Happens After We Receive a Notice

Upon receiving a valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:

Review the notice for completeness and validity
Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content promptly
Make a good faith effort to notify the user who posted the content (if applicable)
Preserve a copy of the notice for our records as required by law

5Counter-Notification

If you believe that content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification containing:

Your full name, address, phone number, and email address
Identification of the content that was removed and its location before removal
A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification
A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original DMCA notice
Your physical or electronic signature

Note: If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed content within 10-14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action.

6Repeat Infringers

In accordance with the DMCA, FancyNick will terminate or disable access for users who are repeat copyright infringers in appropriate circumstances. We reserve the right to remove any content and terminate any account at our sole discretion.

7Unicode and Generated Content

FancyNick is primarily a tool that generates text using the Unicode Standard — a publicly available character encoding system. Please note:

Unicode characters are part of a public international standard and are not subject to copyright claims

Generated text output (combinations of Unicode characters) is not copyrightable content

Blog articles and original written content on this site are our original works and are protected by copyright

Emoji artwork is designed by platform vendors (Apple, Google, etc.) under their respective licenses — we display standard Unicode emoji characters, not proprietary artwork

8Good Faith Warning

Warning: Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed or disabled by mistake, may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorney fees. Please do not make false claims. If you are unsure whether certain content infringes your copyright, consider seeking legal advice before submitting a notice.
